To maintain a clean, safe, and attractive community, please follow these regulations for proper handling of trash and recyclables. Report any violations immediately.

1. MONDAY and THURSDAY are Trash Days. MONDAY is also the Recycling Day.

2. Trash and Recyclables are to be set out no earlier than 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and Wednesday, and no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday and Thursday. Please follow this instruction.

3. All Trash Cans and Recycling Bins must be returned to your backyard no later than 8:00 p.m. on the same day of trash pick-up. Trash Cans left out are subject to removal without notice.

4. OVERSIZED ITEMS (i.e., large furniture) are only picked up on THURSDAY.

5. Excessive CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS is your responsibility and will NOT be picked-up without scheduling with American Disposal Services in advance.

6. Trash and Recyclables must NOT be placed along Providence Village Drive, East Maple Drive, or Circle Drive. DO NOT place trash at the PVTCA Shed on Providence Village Drive. All materials MUST be placed at the curb WITHIN YOUR SQUARE.

7. Trash should be bound in a plastic bag and put into a Trash Can with the lid securely attached. Recyclables should be placed in an appropriate Recycling Bin.

8. METAL, GLASS and PLASTIC cans/bottles/jars should be rinsed and placed directly into the Recycling Bin. NEWSPAPERS and MAGAZINES should be placed in paper bags or bundled and set at the curb along with your Recycling Bin.

9. Trash Cans and Recycling Bins are to be kept in the backyard until the above mentioned times when they may be placed at the curb. DO NOT store trash cans and bins on your front porch or behind the shrubs. Violators will be fined.

10. DO NOT place HAZARDOUS MATERIALS out for trash pick-up. These items include, but are not limited to Oil-Based Paint, Antifreeze, Pesticides, Batteries, Motor Oil, Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, and Freezers. These items and others are required to be disposed of properly and lawfully. Please contact Loudoun County Office of Solid Waste Management directly for assistance.

11. LATEX PAINT may be placed out with trash by first, drying the paint (use cat litter or saw dust) until a thick paste consistency and second, placing the can in a black trash bag.

12. DO NOT put air conditioners, refrigerators, or freezers out for trash pick-up. All appliances that use refrigerant are considered hazardous and will not be picked up by American Disposal Services.

13. DO NOT LITTER – Report littering and other illegal activity to the Sheriff’s Office.
